Teen Therapy (Ages 13-17)

Service Description

Therapy with teens can look very similar to adult therapy but may also include games, art, sand, and talking. Careful attention is paid to the development of the teen’s identity and their need for privacy. On occasion, teens will be resistant to therapy. But, fear not! Once teens discover that counseling is a warm, supportive, non-judgmental experience they are often eager to continue. The parent/teen relationship is a critical part of a teens daily functioning. Special care is given to the role of the parent when a teen is in therapy. This may include the parent being invited into the session, family sessions, or parent only sessions. All future sessions after the initial session are $155.
