Service Description

CPRT is a 10 session evidence-based program that can be provided in a group or individual setting and can be adapted to all types of families and ages of children. CPRT aims to empower the relationship between a child and their caregiver/parent by teaching the caregiver/parent play therapy skills resulting in the caregiver/parent conducting play therapy sessions with their child at home. The goal of these sessions is to foster attachment and security in the caregiver-child bond through the use of attunement. CPRT also teaches the parent age appropriate limit setting techniques to help them manage their child’s behavior--even very difficult behavior. CPRT is appropriate for any parent, regardless of whether or not they are having issues or struggles with their child. CPRT is an exceptional intervention for the following populations: Adoption and Foster Parents Grandparent’s Raising Grandchildren Teachers Father’s raising children *Minimum of 4 participants*
